[...]. Color was more red than tan, legs were stiff, not very poseable. Just not right for what we needed. Would deal with this vender again.

Perfect Companion
This was exactly what we were looking for. This dog is FULLED SIZED. Durable, soft, cute and just what I needed.

Not at all like the picture
The picture of this stuffed dog looks great and is why I purchased it. However, when I received the dog, the color was orange (not at all like a german shepard) and the ears were flat (probably due to packaging). Also, the nose of the dog was hard like plastic. I was really disappointed and have returned it. It did not look anything at all like the picture.

Great Doggie
This German Shepherd was a huge hit with my dog-loving great niece. It's taller than she is! Very lifelike and sweet expression.

Good
Over all the animal was great. However when we received it the ear was ripped so we had to sew it. That was a dissapointment seeing as we just purchased it brand new.

just Ok!
This didn't go as well as I hoped with my daughter! she prefers to practice on real clothes. Button is too hard for her little fingers. Looking back I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Disappointing
I purchased this for my grandson. From the pictures it looked like a great learning toy. Since it is a puzzle each piece comes loose so it is near impossible to try and button, zip, etc. even if they did work. The zipper wouldn't zip, the seat belt latch would not release, in fact the only thing that worked like you expected was the snap. Major disappointment for a Melissa and Doug toy.

Good concept...but stick with the plush doll or bear
Like any other Melissa and Doug product, this is very durable and has stood a 2 year old's worst and now a 12 month old's chewing. However, it's really hard to manipulate the concepts the puzzle is trying to teach because the puzzle piece the function is on is too small so little hands can't button and hold the piece still at the same time. I would just stick with the standard plush doll to help teach zipping, tying, buckling, buttoning and snapping.

Moronic Design
I originally bought this because my twin daughters needed to learn the basic skills of tying laces, buttoning, etc. But the fact that it's also a puzzle just confuses things--it's almost impossible to perform these tasks when you already KNOW how to do them if the underlying surface is not stationary, let alone learn to do them. I cannot BELIEVE the idiocy of this design. Whoever did this does not have children, was never exposed to them, and did not think about what they would probably do with this. Instead of learning new skills, as I had hoped, they immediately scattered these useless bits of wood about our house, as I knew they would as soon as I opened it. Who didn't see that coming? I would never have purchased this if I knew it came apart, but it was enclosed in tight cellophane and didn't say. I thought it was a solid board, and really, that would have made sense. Being a puzzle doesn't. Don't waste your money.

hard for small hands
I usually love Melissa & Doug toys, but I was dissapointed with this one. The button hole is stitched so tightly that it's hard for toddler-sized hands to put the huge button through it. The belt is also a bit tricky since the holes are close together.

The plus side: it's a basical skills board and puzzle all-in-one, and it's fun to "dress"/"undress" the bear.
